Rewarding Connections

In the process of opening doors in life and real estate for your clients, you’re building vital bonds that carry through from these crucial stages.

That’s an aspect of what she does that Jennyfer Dunkerson holds close to her heart.

As a REALTOR® with Collection 7 Realty, she is driven by the rewarding connections that she builds with others through time. “When I think about what I do each day in real estate, my favorite part is connecting with people, as well as building friendships among peers and clients,” she explains. “A big part of that is continuing education to learn and grow through time. You have to love what you do. I love what I do. That’s what helps me be successful.”

Beginning Her Path in the Profession

Jennyfer earned her real estate license in the fall of 2020. Before that, she had started to experience aspects of the business through transactions that she and her husband, Randy, carried out.

“I always enjoyed the process of dealing with buying and selling that we were doing,” she remembers. “I saw the importance of the relationship, communication and guidance along the way. With our transactions, I ended up doing quite a few elements along the way. My husband said he thought I would do very well at it and that real estate might be my thing, so that’s what I did.”

As she earned her license and started her adventure in the industry, she encountered some normal challenges with launching her business.

“I had just moved to the OKC area in the spring of 2020. We were moving back here, but I hadn’t been in the area for eight years,” she says. “As a result, I naturally didn’t have a big sphere, but I hit the ground running on my own and figured it out along the way.”

Care and Commitment

With commitment, hard work and staying very active, Jennyfer got traction and started to see the fruits of her work with her first closing in 2021. She has continued to build day by day on her success ever since. In fact, she has recorded more than 50 transactions since her first one, representing over $20 million in sales volume. Along the way, she has completed over 167 hours of continuing education. In 2022 she received her GRI designation. She has also connected with Southern Comfort Homes – Oklahoma, representing them as their REALTOR® for new construction homes. Plus, she was nominated for Rising Star status in 2023 and she reached one of her goals of becoming an OKC top producer. In 2024, she has been selected to be part of Edmond Leaders of Tomorrow (ELOT) Accelerate Class from the Edmond Board of REALTORS®—and organization where she is very involved with different committees.

Wonderful Life

Family has been central to Jennyfer’s success through time. She treasures time with them, including Randy. “He’s a really big source of support. He is the main provider of our household working in the oil field. If it wasn’t for him working as hard as he does and making that income, it would be very difficult for me to have reached this place in my business,” Jennyfer says.

“His efforts have allowed me to do the education for real estate. He has always been supportive of me, and that means a lot.” Randy and Jennyfer treasure time with their blended family of six children, as well as their two grandchildren, with another one on the way.

In her free time, Jennyfer enjoys going to the movies. She and her family also like exploring new restaurants in the local area. When it comes to giving back, she also likes to support the efforts of local animal shelters.

Jennyfer has reached an impressive level of success within the industry. At the same time, she’s always willing to share her perspectives with others who are also looking to get their own start in real estate.

“First and foremost, it’s important to not give up and keep moving forward. Don’t wait for someone to tell you what to do. Just do it. It will all come together in the end,” she says.

“When I started, I dove in and started doing open houses every weekend. You’ve got to work for it. You have to treat it like it’s your personal business … like your home and finances depend on this.”

Going the Distance

When you talk with Jennyfer, it’s easy to see the mix of traits she brings to the table that allows her to be very successful, with a sense of care, understanding and solid communication.

“I always hope that the people I work with feel like they’re hanging out with a friend,” she smiles. “I’ve never known a stranger, and I always do my best to be available for others so that I can be an ongoing resource for them.”

That drive for making a difference comes at least in part from Jennyfer’s experiences growing up. She was raised by her mother and grandmother. “During that time, we had never owned a home. My first home with my husband was in 2009. We always had lived in rentals, duplexes and apartments. I think that’s where I got my hustle from,” Jennyfer says. “My mom wore many hats, and she hustled to make sure we had what we needed. To be able to have this career is deeper for me, and it means more to me than most people know. I love being able to help

others reach their goals. It feels good to say, ‘Look what I’m doing as a REALTOR®.’”

That achievement keeps playing out day by day as Jennyfer continues building truly rewarding

connections for today and tomorrow.
