“One of my favorite parts of what I do every day is working with my partners and clients and building relationships along the way,” Debbie says. “I like to sit down and have coffee or lunch with people to really get to know people one on one.”
Getting Her Start in the Industry
Debbie grew up in Jenks, Oklahoma. As she came of age in high school, she worked in a small real estate office on weekends as well as summers. She worked as a receptionist and enjoyed working in the same building with so many other industry professionals, including insurance agents, a real estate firm, two construction companies and an interior design firm.
“I loved everything about it. At first, I thought I wanted to go into interior design,” Debbie remembers.
As it turns out, Debbie earned her real estate license in 1988. However, with a small child at home, she found it difficult to work the unexpected hours.
Several years later, in 2005, she earned her license a second time. After 13 years serving her clients as a REALTOR® she made a switch to home warranty work—another way of serving the best interests of those around her—for the past six years.
Passion for People
At the heart of her passion for her work is the people she serves and comes in contact with.
“I really enjoy the people. I’ve made such wonderful friends through the years. I consider them family. They are my buddies,” she says. “One of my favorite things that I do is traveling to the little towns around the state. They are so nice and friendly.”

A Wonderful Life
Away from work, Debbie cherishes time with her family, including her fiance, Mark Peters; and her daughter, Katie (and her husband, Dylan, and their dog, Finn); and her son, Justin, and his dog, Goldie.
In her free time, Debbie likes to play golf. Other favorites include cooking and travel. One of her favorite destinations came during a recent trip to Italy, including time spent in the Florence area.
“It was a great time. I learned how to make ravioli and had a wine class,” Debbie says. “I’m in a wine club here in OKC. I learned how to make focaccia bread. Another hobby I love is painting guilded oyster shells.”
