THE REAL OF REAL ESTATE

My name is Gabe Ellingsen, which may or may not be recognized by you but it's who I am.

I'm proud to introduce myself as I've made a good career in this real estate business. I began this journey in July of 2017. I was in the car business as a marketing manager for a few different dealerships, and of course, I was going from one dealership to the next. One day, my wife and I were working at a dealership together making a little over $15k a month combined. Well, the day had come when we got a new general manager, and while it was common to see a change in general managers, I simply had enough.

I walked out of the dealership with little to no money in the bank living paycheck to paycheck. I called my wife as I was leaving and told her to pack up her stuff and walk out. She asked me, "what were we going to do? We had bills coming and not enough money to cover them in the bank." I told her don’t worry about it. I’m going to push the real estate business and we will be ok.

Well, three months later, we claimed bankruptcy and basically had nothing left but to start climbing. So, that was where I truly began my real estate business with absolutely no money and a ton of debt. I pushed myself that entire year and I ended up doing $6.9 million in sales in my first full-time year in the business. I pretty much got up every day and branded myself to become known as the Racing Realtor. In the second full-time year, I sold $9.7 million in sales along with opening my branch office.

Everyone always asks me how I have built my business and it simply was from branding myself and reaching out to all the friends I have through social media. I’m going on my third year as a branch broker, which is truly a blessing - being able to help others start in this business. I wasn’t handed deals or leads to grow my business; it was truly my dedication to being able to succeed and provide for my family. I couldn’t stand being broke and worrying about how to put food on the table, so I was determined to change my future.
