Flow Photos

You can say a lot through pictures. And the way that is done can hone your message. That’s why it means so much to have a partner who is adept at putting the best in focus.

That’s exactly what you have with Ryan and Erin Wells with Flow Photos. With care, expertise and a genuine emphasis on service, they highlight their clients throughout the region and beyond.

Opportunity Knocks

Ryan’s story begins back in 2013 at a local church, where he worked to help it get started. With only a Mac computer and a camera, Ryan took on the role of creating videos and announcements.

Little did he know that this beginning would set the stage for a thriving business. When a church member’s wedding led to a photography recommendation and a timely call from a REALTOR® in need of a real estate photographer, Ryan saw an opportunity.

Despite having no formal training in real estate photography, he took on the challenge. After spending three hours shooting a house in Edmond, OK, he delivered a set of eight photos that resulted in 17 showings and a sale above the asking price. That success was the confidence boost Ryan needed to dive into real estate photography.

During his first year, Ryan shot 60 houses while still working at the church. Determined to grow, Ryan set an ambitious goal of photographing 800 houses in 2014.

“It was definitely a stretch goal. It came down to one of the last days of the year. We got our 800th shoot on a snowy day,” he smiles.

Today, Flow Photos continues to thrive, with eight photographers operating in the OKC area and a licensed office in Tulsa.

Ryan’s commitment to quality and service has propelled his business forward.

"We have systems in place where we can teach and train people," he explains, emphasizing the company’s dedication to not just performing but excelling in real estate photography. All photo editing and invoicing are handled in-house, ensuring consistency and high standards.

Giving Great Service

One of Ryan’s core philosophies is rooted in the principle of service, inspired by the book The Go-Giver. Rather than focusing solely on profitability, Ryan believes in front-loading the act of serving. Flow Photos runs promotions like charging just $1 for the first shoot and offering free reshoots or drone services. If a client loses a listing, the next shoot is on the house. This approach isn’t just about providing value—it's about becoming an integral part of their client’s team.

The company’s success is not just due to its business model but also its deep-rooted relationships with clients.

"We continue to work with many of the same clients that we did in 2013," Ryan says.

It’s evident that Flow Photos has become more than a service provider; it’s a trusted partner in the real estate process.

Family Foundation

Ryan’s family has grown alongside his business. His wife, Erin Wells, plays a pivotal role as the office manager and customer service leader. Their son, Carson, 17, has recently obtained his drone license and contributes as an editor. Their other children—Kensington, 14; Lincoln, 12; Jaxon, 5; and Brilyn, 2—are also part of the family fabric that supports the business.

For Ryan, family is at the heart of Flow Photos.

"The secret sauce that runs Flow is my wife, Erin," he says. Her dedication to managing the office and customer relations allows Ryan to focus on expanding and perfecting their services. The Wells family’s involvement extends beyond the business; they’re deeply rooted in their community, celebrating milestones with their clients and watching their children grow together.

Outside of photography, Ryan and his family have a passion for sneakers, vintage clothing, and memorabilia. Their side hustle of buying, selling, and trading 80s, 90s, and Y2K items has grown into a venture with plans to open a storefront. This hobby reflects Ryan’s broader philosophy: pursuing what you love and sharing it with others.

Making a Difference

The Wells family’s approach to business and life is inspired by Ryan’s grandfather, who owned a livestock feed store. For Ryan, the term “vendor” feels impersonal, so he strives to build friendships rather than simply offering a service.

"We’re not a vendor; we’re part of their team," Ryan emphasizes. This personal touch has been a key to Flow Photos’ ongoing success and enduring relationships.

As Ryan reflects on his journey, he is both grateful and optimistic. "Every day I pinch myself that we get to do this," he says, marveling at the opportunities and connections that have come his way.

When you’re looking for a partner who will put your best in focus, look to Ryan and Erin Wells and Flow Photos.
