Giving it to God

Since starting her real estate career in 2020, Natalee Hitchcock has risen to become one of Oklahoma's top real estate agents, closing nearly $20 million in 2023 and earning rave reviews from her clients. Perhaps even more impressively, Natalee does it with four young children in tow.

“My business revolves around my family,” she says proudly. “I'm unconventional in that I almost always have a kid or two or four with me. My family is why I do what I do. They are a huge part of my work.”

Natalee is on a mission to be more than a successful REALTOR®. She wants to show the world that it's possible to live a faith-filled life, be a full-time mom, and be a full-time business owner. She is showing others that, yes, you can have it all.

Taking the Leap

Natalee has long held an interest in becoming a real estate agent, but with young kids and a growing family, she assumed it would be something she did later in life. When her friend and real estate broker Lauren Toppins called her in 2020, however, that timeline accelerated.

“Lauren called me and let me know she was going to open a brokerage. She wanted me to be one of the first REALTORS®,” Natalee reflects. “I laughed and said, ‘I don't think so.’ I just had a third baby. I was building our home at the time, dabbling in marketing side hustles, and being a full-time mom. I didn't see a way for me to do it, but she saw something in me.”

Natalee checked in with her husband, who was fully on board with her becoming a real estate agent. So, she took a leap of faith, diving into a new career.

Giving it to God

Fast forward four years, and Natalee is one of Cherrywood’s top agents. She closed 32 transactions for $19.8 million in 2023 while caring for four children under 10. So, how does she do it all?

“Every year, I give my real estate business to God. Faith is what I build everything on. I always pray about my business. I give it to God, trust him with it, and he blows me away with the people he puts in my path,” Natalee says.

Natalee’s Oklahoma roots have also been a key to her success. She’s an Edmond native and an OSU graduate with tons of connections in the local community. That allowed her to build a business almost entirely from her network and referrals.

“We have true Oklahoma roots, and we love it here. Oklahoma is everything,” Natalee continues.

An Attitude of Gratitude

As Natalee reflects on her real estate journey, she taps into gratitude and wonder. Now, she’s on a mission to continue growing her business while improving her work/life balance.

Natalee and her husband, Justin, have four children: Gavin (9), Cameron (7), Reed (4), and Tate (2)

“I feel so blessed to do this job,” she smiles. “I do this for my kids and their future, and I love that they can be a part of it. It has taught them to interact with adults. They meet clients, go to closings, and have seen so much of our city.”

When Natalee isn’t selling real estate, you’ll find her enjoying downtime with her kids, working out, golfing, and volunteering at church. She admits that work/life balance is still a work in progress, and that’s okay. The effort it takes to achieve work/life balance is work that Natalee is happy to do because she’s committed to being a great wife, a present mom, a standout REALTOR®, and a woman of faith.

“I want to point people to the Lord,” she says. “I want to be a light in the world. I want people to wonder what is different about me and my family. Who do we honor? I want to love others well and bring glory to God. I want people to know I’m genuinely here to love and serve people. It's such a blessing and an honor to be part of people's lives in this way.”
